SNORKEL A CORAL REEF
There’s something really calm about floating on the surface of the water when snorkeling. Swim leisurely around Key West’s underwater habitat. There’s so much to view on a snorkeling trip to Key West since it’s home to the world’s third-biggest coral reef.
RENT A BOAT
Charter a boat with or without a skipper! Boat rentals are a terrific way to spend your time here, whether you want to fish, snorkel, cruise around the island’s azure seas, or do it all. There is a lot to see both on and off the beach, including the famed Key West sunset. If you want to spend time on the water but can’t make a day of it, the Key West Water Taxi is another option. It’s a pleasant and inexpensive way to go from the north side of the island to the Historic Seaport.
GO FOR A BIKE RIDE
Key West is a fantastic biking location. It’s how the islanders move around, and it’s one of the greatest ways to go off the main road and explore the island’s more serene side. As you leave Duval Street, you’ll enter a world of tiny conch houses with large front porches shaded by palm trees and accentuated by vivid bougainvillea. People fell in love with Key West because of its island charm.
EXPLORE THE KEY WEST CEMETERY
While riding your bike, head to the middle of Old Town, where you’ll locate the Key West Cemetery. For obvious reasons, it is tranquil and quiet. Lock your bike at the entrance and pick up an information brochure before exploring this old cemetery. It’ll be a pleasant afternoon pastime with a few surprises.
RELAX ON A SANDBAR
Perhaps you’ve detected a pattern here, but the ocean is by far the most soothing activity in Key West. Take a half-day cruise onboard a small catamaran on a Local Eco Tour. Snorkeling, kayaking, and lounging on a sandbar beach are all part of this Fury Water Adventures tour. It’s a very pleasant approach to spend time with nature and enjoy a day on the lake. Snacks and cold Coronas are provided.
POOL TIME & COCKTAILS
The Southernmost House is one of the most beautiful Victorian residences on the island, and it now serves as a bed & breakfast with views of the Atlantic Ocean. This ancient location also has one of the most beautiful pools on the island, and you don’t have to be a visitor to enjoy it. Non-hotel guests can buy a day pass for $10, which includes one complimentary beverage at the pool bar. Spend the day lounging in the sun before the nightlife of Key West heats up.
